WBHO was selected as one of the first six partners to work with nbn in delivering Australia’s largest infrastructure project.
The $30bn rollout program will impact everyone throughout the nation, and the MIMA works is a critical component of the rollout, connecting homes to high-speed broadband. WBHO is a trusted, flexible and collaborative Delivery Partner across numerous areas, from metropolitan to regional to remote rural.
Works involve the provision of delivery fibre to the node and fibre to the premises connections. Works involve close liaison with multiple stakeholders, and are delivered across numerous areas concurrently, with scope of works including hauling, splicing upgrading existing pits, boring and directional drilling.
Community engagement is fundamental to project success. The effective management of pedestrian interface is an intrinsic part of these projects, as the works frequently involve working in the service corridor next to existing roads. This often involves breaking up existing footpaths, driveways and landscaped areas and reinstatement after construction. While this work is being carried out, constant pedestrian access needs to be maintained.
