WBHO Infrastructure has been awarded the large-scale Wanneroo Road and Ocean Reef Road Interchange project, in joint venture (JV) with SRG Global (SRG).
The JV will be entered into on an equal basis, with WBHO Infrastructure and SRG each delivering 50% the $41.6 million contract (WBHO Infrastructure share: $20.8 million) over 18 months.
Will Grobler, WBHO’s Executive General Manager – Western Region, said he was pleased to be delivering the road upgrades.
“The Wanneroo and Ocean Reef Road interchange is one of the busiest intersections in Perth’s North Metropolitan area,” he said.
“This project will alleviate congestion and improve journey times and safety for road users and pedestrians. WBHO, alongside SRG, are looking forward to be working closely with Main Roads WA to deliver this critical piece of infrastructure in Perth.”
The Wanneroo Road and Ocean Reef Road Interchange project is funded by the Commonwealth and State Government as part of a $2.3 billion investment in road and rail infrastructure.
Specialist engineering and project planning works are expected to commence in early 2019 with a total project duration of approximately 18 months.
