North South Carrier Pipeline

Botswana

North South Carrier Pipeline
Description

The 86km North-South Carrier is part of a national project that will finally take water from Lestibogo Dam near Selebi Pikwe in Botswana’s north to Gaborone in the south.

The project was an EPC contract to construct the 1200mm diameter lined and coated steel pipe, two 30 million-litre reservoirs, a pump station, associated smaller reservoirs and chambers, and the construction of a 366km long fibre optic cable.

The pipeline with the associated structures was constructed in only 11 months.
